2025 Rowing Australia National Championships Highlights

The Rowing Australia National Championships are over for 2025. This year, CRC sent a small squad of two rowers to Tasmania. They competed on the waters of Lake Barrington. Our squad of 2: Bronte Marshall and Kat Vargoczky did CRC proud, together with our fabulous St George cox Jacky.

Every athlete rowed and gave it their all. We finished with a gold for Bronte, Kat, and Jacky from the winning PR3 Mixed four. Bronte also earned a bronze from the 500m WPR3 1x sprint.

Kat and her partner Jesse , Bronte and her partner Michael had a tough PR3 mixed doubles race. The 3 other crews were all Australian selection athletes. They showed that you don’t have to be selected to be at nationals. You need to have the will to win. You must fight for the best finish position possible. Then you will know that you gave it your all.
They both did and the CRC coaches could not ask for more .
A great nationals, great racing, great sportsmanship and even better finishing with the glint of gold and bronze in our teeth!

In the overall pointscore, NSW was, for the 21st year, the winner of the Bob Blake Shield awarded to the State that scores the most para points at the National Regatta. CRC, including in its former style as the Balmain Para Rowing Program has been instrumental in that continuous win for 17 of those years. This year, our win in the coxed four gave us the win by 2 points!

Also a big shout out to an absolute champion coach in Barbara Ramjan who travelled to Tassie with the squad and was there for every race.
